High Resolution (1961) (This photo has a fingerprint.) DC-3 aircraft flew in to the remote site. It is marked as an Air Jordan aircraft, possibly retired from regular service or under contract for special flights to the remote camps. According to the photographer, there was no special effort to build a runway; the aircraft would use a flat area of the desert. The aircraft generally came once per week with supplies and personnel.
